I recently installed my #49 snow thrower on my John Deere 322 and the front PTO worked fine when testing it. I went to blow snow the other day and the PTO engaged briefly and then quit. I readjusted the air gaps to .018" and measured the coil resistance to 3.2 ohms and the voltage to the connector was 14.3 volts DC. When I flip the PTO switch I can hear a relay click, but it won't engage. I'm about ready to tear the PTO apart to find the problem, but am looking for any help or suggestions before I do so. Thank you.

At a loss to help you, but wonder about any safety switches that may not be set right.

Has anything shown up on a search of TBN?

It sounds like you have it under control! The only other thing I could sugggest is check the ground system and take your battery to a auto parts store for a load test. If your battery is weak the pto will not engage. My neighbor had a 212 that would not engage and it was the battery. It started fine, just would not engage the pto.
