John Deere 310
Hi, I have an early 70s John Deere 310 backhoe. Today I was using it and as I was driving around it just stopped running with no waring. It's something electrical since when I turn the key on and off I just hear a faint click and no lights on the dash. Where are the fuses located on this tractor? Is there a relay on it? The battery seems to be charged. Thanks for any input

The faint click could be the battery ground cable. The cable probably has a bad corroded connection where it attaches to the rusty/corroded battery box. IIRC the 310 didn't have fuses but it had circuit breakers. Could also have a faulty circuit breaker. For engine to run you need electricity at fuel solenoid on diesel inj pump

I started to take the instrument panel off ( didn't have time or proper tools to finish) looking for the non existing fuses this morning and after moving it around trying to get my hand in there the tractor started.... Guessing its a loose wire back there somewhere ?.....
