john deere 3020 gas

tractor ran great all summer , then just would not start 1 morn, when hit starter fires up for about 2 seconds then refuses to start. let sit for about 1 hour then will fire up again for asecond or 2 then dies and refuses to start. fuel filter is clean new plugs, good flow from gas tank and going into carb. thanks in advance for any ideas where to start. 3o20 j. deere gas

The problem almost certainly is inside the carburetor. A jet partially blocked, maybe.
