Most Lawn Engines design with the same principle, even with your Car, LOL But Cars got more Parts / Stuff......

Read those links first... You'll find the same stuff with your Engine... Like Coil, Solenoid, Fuse, Stator, Starter, Wiring trouble shooting... Try to understand how things work, then it's a lot easier to trouble shoot.

How old is the Battery? Could just be a Bad Battery... Sometimes the OLD Battery got Drained due to Bad connections or Ignition key was left on with bad wiring and go to Lower than 1/2 of 12V. It doesn't charge no more after that... The best is to get a Battery Charger and then Jolt it for like 15 mins with like 10AMPS... Then let it sit overnight with 2AMPS... I was able to Relive it to my Battery doing that, also I found a BAD wire...

Do you have a Tester / Volt Meter? Try testing the Battery... With the Link above. Also, you can take the Possitive Cable out of your Battery while your Engine is Running, Test it with a Tester to see if you get Juice +++ If your reading is Possitive +++ than it's the Bad Battery...
