John Deere 24T billhook wiper snapped

My right knotter stopped working. The knot would stay on the bill hook. I cleaned it up and rotated the right knotter assembly and could see that the wiper blade was snapped off at the mounting holes. Looks like a fatigue failure.

The 24T parts manual does not show a separate part number for the wiper plate, only one for the whole assembly and all the other parts. Any ideas how I could get just the wiper plate? It is attached with two small bolts just like the knife.

Billhook wioers are malleable iron. Using the other side s a pattern, have it welded.

Also try eBay. Find a seller of any parts for a 14T or 24T or 224T. 336 wipers may work, too. Then send them an email asking if they are parting out knotter items. Have them sell it BUY It Now to you for a pre-arranged price and snag it.

It turns out after going through the parts manuals online, my 24T has updated knotters from a 328. I was able to find the wipers on the JD parts site. Looks like the local dealer has some in stock. I'll drop by today and pick up some knives too.
