john Deere 2305 hydraulic cylinder lift for mower deck location?????

I have a 2305 with the mechanical lift for the mower deck that operates off of the 3-point hitch. I want to add a cylinder to the rock shaft that is already there but my dealer does not think it is possible. I have seen other posts and photos where people have done this. Can anybody give me more details on this and is it a john deere parts item????

I believe all you need is the John Deere mower deck lift cylinder kit. Part number LVB25630.
Remove the linkage to the 3 point & install the cylinder.
The cylinder mounts on the front side of the mower deck lift rockshaft, not in the same location as the 3 point linkage.
