Hello Everyone,
I had the clutch, pressure plate etc done at the dealer last fall and have only put on 30 hours in the last 8 months on the tractor.
My question is should I not be able to shift the range selector from 1 to 2 or from 2 to reverse without having the gears shudder / grind while leaving the gear leaver the same.
Example: Driving forward in range 1 gear 8. Clutch down all the way, break to a complete stop, change range selector from 1 to reverse while the clutch is still down and not having it grind?
Or driving in range selector in 1 gear number 6 and clutching down all the way, at a full stop and going from range 1 to range 2 without griding and leaving the gear leaver still in number 6.
Am I doing something wrong here? Tractor doesn't have a hi-lo shifter.
