I currently have the carb off and I知 looking at it again. I forgot to mention before I cracked the carb insulator when I took the cylinder head off. But I superglued it. Is it worth replacing

Carb cleaning means different things to different people.

An often overlooked part on many small engine carbs is the emulsion tube. "A" in the photo below.

It is under the main jet. Getting the main jet unscrewed is hard and often people just spray carb cleaner or compressed air through the main jet unaware of the emulsion tube.
The holes in the emulsion tube are so small you need a small strand of multi strand wire to poke them clean.

The main get has a slot for the flat screw driver. It is made of brass and easily damaged to the point that you cannot get it out.

I get a set of bits like for a screwdriver with interchangeable bits. Select the largest flat one which will just fit in the main jet slot.
Push down hard while turning and with luck it will unscrew leaving you access to the emulsion tube.

Good point Dave.

Sometimes you can get away with just cleaning out the float bowl and cleaning the holes in the main jet. but if you still are having troubles with the engine not running properly, then a complete disassemble of the carb is required. Remove all the jets, screw in hole plugs and anything else that you can remove.

Important note. make sure that you somehow mark the the metering screws so you know which one is for the idle and which is for high speed.
