John Deere 175 blades quit working

I was mowing and the the blades stoped.I flipped the switch on and off<nothing.When pto switch is on and i get off seat the safty still works.aNY IDEAS

I have a 318 and if it gets real HOT the pto clutch will disengage. I would check to make sure that the switch just randomly die or a wire come loose. Also you will need to get a service book and find out what the correct air gapping is on your electric clutch.

I tried it again today it work for 5 mins then quit again

sounds like to me you have a wire loose. How old is the machine you could have a electric clutch going bad.

its 20 years old
