I have a new 155c with than 10 hours running time on it (B&S engine) and it seems to have thown the flywheel magnet off. I'm just wondering if any one else has experience this problem or any other issues with this model. Up until now it been a good machine.
Thank's RandyB

I have not heard of it recently, and it was never considered common, but some Briggs Magnetron flywheels have thrown the magnet from the flywheel, it will usually lock up the engine. The only proper fix is to replace the flywheel and the coil, it is a factory defect and should be fully under warranty.

Finally got time to take 155c to the dealer today and they seem to be surprise the magnet broke off. To me it looks like a poor design for a 25HP engine,it only has one 1/4x20 coarse thead bolt to hold it in place. O well they said it would be about two weeks before I can get it back. I'll give a update when I get it back.

Got the little 155c back last Monday and all seems to be working fine.
They had to replace the flywheel, screen, fan, all under warranty. Haven't had much time to use it yet hopefully we'll have a early spring so we can cut some grass too put it to a real test.
