Looking at purchasing a 1050 with loader/backhoe advertised as "low hours" for $10k. It comes with a 5' brush cutter and 6' finish mower. Assuming hours is in the neighborhood of 1500-2000, is this worth a look? Also, any issues with reliability or replacement parts for this 20+ year old tractor.

The 1050 is a great machine. I would say $10K is a bit on the high side with all the equipment if in average condition. There are some issues with parts availability, primarily transmission parts. Other parts, engine, clutch, brakes, hydraulics, no problems with availability as far as I know.

A yanmar dealer could help you on parts like brakes. I had to go to junk yard for a part last weekend. If you are getting a loader and a backhoe the 10k is worth it. Its been a month or so since you posted. Did you buy it? Watch out for some of those guys at Derrick.

No, I didn't buy it. I haven't decided whether that was a mistake or not. I haven't been seriously looking, but the 1050 came up and I thought it might be worth pursuing.
