China will one day take over this country and these air heads we have coming along behind us and do it without firing a shot. Heck, they have already started and most Americans don't even know it.
That's what they said about Japan in the 80s, and it didn't happen. China's long-term prospects don't look good, in a large part due to the one-child policy during the Mao years.

I hear there are 1.5 million real estate agents about ready to get back into the workforce...
:ROFLMAO:

The old folks complain us youngins wont do hard work but also cant setup basic stuff on their phone and computer.

It's a trade off. I did hard work to get to a position that I dont have to. I program machines to do the hard work so no one has to

There are some good young workers and there are some really crappy workers. Woman are quickly dominating the corporate workforce. Our men our struggling. It seems the ones raised by single mothers are bearing the brunt of their situations. They just don't know how to work anymore nor are they being taught by a man how to be a man.

A bunch of beta males...It's ok, woman will need to fill that gap.

This whole labor shortage is a bit of a joke to me. I retired because they would not pay a fair salary and stopped listening to the alterations I wanted as Lead Tech. I've since wanted to get back in to the field, did a re-interview, and they are doing the exact same things that were the reasons I left. Only offering just a little more money and zero more autonomy. Its not the money I want.... its the autonomy to run the shop the way I want to run it. Which went from $0 to $750,000 a year, clear, in seven years. And since leaving, it is back down to $400,000. Admin can't give up their aspect of total control. Okay. I guess they still have a labor shortage. :)

It's not so much that "they aren't being taught by a man how to be a man". It's that they don't want to get the skills required for a good paying jobs. A large number of working age men are simply dropping out of the workforce. Women still get paid less than men, but they are closing the gap by substantially outperforming men in getting post secondary education. Smart beats macho.

I was sitting in a quiet area the other day working on some paperwork and a young guy stopped and said "Hey, didn't you used to hang around XXX church and school?" Yes I did. He introduced himself. He and his siblings attended the same school as our kids and he remembered my, uh, um, appearance :ROFLMAO:

He's 26. Went to IU. Got a degree in business management, then decided he didn't like the idea of managing a business, so he got into the HVAC union and is 2 years into his apprenticeship. He works for the contractor that does the HVAC at my employer. We ended up talking for about half an hour. Good guy. Young and working.

I have my old friends in the HVAC business always calling, wanting me to go to work for them.
Say it's tough to get help. and when they do, no one stays.

I tell them if I wanted to go back to work, I would start back up my HVAC / Plumbing Gas business.
I have been out long enough my non compete clause has expired.
''Oh, we will let you make your own hours , it won't be full time every day'' ! LOL

There is a push to require A/C in work trucks, delivery vans and business space because no one should work in the heat…

Tell that to HVAC techs on a 130 degree roof and burn your hand on metal, farmers and construction workers.

My brother helped a friend for a few days on a big paving job and he said it was like being slow cooked in the 105 temp over the hot blacktop plus the fumes… two gallons of Gatorade.

Problem with some of those jobs like hvac is pay.

I was a maintenance electrician for 5 year. I'm now an engineer. It was hard on my body and I wanted to move up the pay scale.

Our hvac contractor guys have asked me in the past about work because it doesnt pay enough for the crappy work.
