The track-hoe guys you see using electric-controlled valves are more than likely controlling a hydraulic thumb -- not controllling the hoe nor dipper-stick itself...

You could also install needle valves to lock all fluids in place.

Hi JJ, I have the needle valves installed and use them when holding a load for an extended period of time - not real practical for 30 second holds.

I will have to talk to you more if i ever get serious about doing something.
