White smoke is unburned fuel if it lingers in the air which could be dribbling injector(s) or fuel pump timing that is too retarded from spec. Whitish smoke that dissipates rapidly is condensation from a cold combustion chamber or coolant from a leak into the combustion chamber.

What was the original problem that caused you to "replaced key switch, replaced starter, replaced injectors. boiled out fuel tank cleaned all lines replaced all filters"?

white smoke lingers have to open doors and air out. would timing change without me removing any parts. starter only thing replaced. please give info and pictures on timing. note engine won't start to check at specific rpm

Timing on this diesel engine is done by loosening the injection pump mount slightly, just enough to be able to move it by hand (toward and away from the engine block). If you find it already loose, that could explain why it's not starting. The specific procedure to fine tune the timing should be in your Y80 Operations & Maintenance manual under "Adjustment of Injection Timing".

I have not ever seen the bolts loosen up enough to change the timing, the gear on the front of the injection pump is slotted, this is where you can adjust the timing of the pump ( If it is out of timing) the mounting bolts greg_g is talking about would only allow for a small amount of tweating at best. Most of the time the white smoke is associated with moisture either from water in the fuel or from water in the cylinders.I would not try to adjust anything on the fuel injector pump if you are not qualified to do so, you could make this worst than it already is.These tractors have been proven to be very reliable with little minor issues that most owners can take care of.If you call our office 979-865-4002 we have a dealer list that we can try to help you locate a dealer near you to help get you going. No matter what it is we can help with the parts if needed

You've gone from white smoke to black smoke, right? Sounds to me as though you may have had some condensation or leaked coolant in your cylinders that has now been mostly purged but it may have gooked up your injectors, particularly if that moisture came by way of contaminated fuel system. I'd pull the injectors and soak them in some cleaner and then check the spray pattern outside the engine before re-installing them. If there is any suspicion on injector problems I'd probably order a couple new ones and try them. Other than soaking them a bit in cleaner, there is nothing you can do to them other than replace them, which you have already done - but there may have been crud in the cylinders or the fuel system that affected the new injectors, so I'd soak them and see if it helps. Have you put fuel treatment in your new fuel?
