Jinma JM354 3pt lift pulsating

I've seen this post somewhere's before but can't find it now. The lift arms are moving up and down maybe an inch with the raise control lever near the top. I would call this hunting if it were engine control problems. What's going on there, anyone know? bjr

Not having had my hands into that machine.. but having looke dat the schematics of some of the lifts on different models.. I might guess it was leaking near the end of the cyl travel, thus lowering, and then 'regenerating'.. thus the pulsation or hunting you see. Again.. this is a semi-WAG.. I'm a ford guy..

This can happen if the draft and position control are just the right distance apart, You may need to make an adjust ment to the draft under the cover of the lift box or just keep the two levers far enough apart.

On my 354 I keep the draft lever all the way up. (the one on the right closest to the right fender with the longest handle)

I use the position control (Short handle closest to the seat) for up / down position. I have never had a problem doing it this way.

As soundguy states it could be a leak in the large piston o-ring inside the TPH lift box, or some sort of other position control o-ring or internal spool clog / leak, or as Chip states an internal or external adjustment. On my model there is a plate on top of the TPH box that can be removed after you take the seat off. I have seen the newer Jinma 354's where the TPH box is made a whole lot different - in that you have to remove the entire TPH lift box and it's heavy. And the draft control is a knob under the seat instead of the lever I mentioned above. Some models the knob under the seat is for downward speed control instead of draft control. There is alot of confusion and misinformation out there about different Jinmas and even the same model because they are changing things in almost every shipment to dealers. Keeps you on your toes and you have to sort out whats right and wrong.

I'm off topic some here. I'm tryin' my own version of adding a hydraulic suction strainer to the JM354. I'm using a 1-1/4 MPT with a center 3/4" female NPT like a Buam S10-60. I need to know the size of the banjo bolt that holds the 3 cornerd plate tube connection for the suction opening. I think it's a M20 but I don't know what thread pitch ie 2.5 or 1.5 can any one tell me? bjr
