Has anyone ever used www.tngcn.com for importing a tractor? I got together 4 people who want a jinma tractor so I can save thousands going strait through an importer instead of buying through a dealer. I also looked up "ChinasBestProducts" based in Canada which is an importer also, but they are much more expensive. Have you heard of any other importer that is reasonable?

Not familiar with the tng group, but both they and CBP are NOT importers, they are exporters/brokers. There is a difference. You will want to check with EPA for legalities of importing diesel engines. It will be best if they are EPA certified, but many are not. Just be sure you know what you are doing and calulate the risk. I think CBP will let you pay after the unit is cleared from customs in US, so at least they have some hide on the line if there is a problem. I'll be TNG wants full payment prior to shipping. All risk is yours.

Find out how (if) they will supply warranty parts as needed.

Bluechip is right, you may be thinking your saving thousands of dollars, let us know after you have it in the USA how much you saved or lost.Self importing is not as easy as they are telling you it is,and you will pay 100 % upfront.Parts are sometimes missing or damaged,(keep our website handy we have parts.) It could take you months to get replacment parts.Customs,EPA ,FDA,Good luck on your venture, there are several reputable dealers that just got tractors 3-months later from epa holds and fines( Did I mention storage cost while they were getting cleared.?) Use a dealer in the USA to get your tractors thru, send me PM and I will show you where to read some horror stories about self importing you may change your mind, and also make sure you other friends that are laying their money out know whats going on also.I would hate to tell my friend he may have to pay some more money because of issues you did not know about.

I would buy from Tommy or Chip and let them help you with any issues that will come up. A fully assembled-ready to use Jinma with a warranty isn't that expensive and your headaches can be resolved with aspirin.

Troy,
I can tell you from personal experience that it might not be worth it to go through an unknown entity! I have learned that, unless you like to spend hours of headaches and frustration, order from one of the several honest, quatlity dealers that can be found right here! They are spread out across the country and are good people. In the end you might spend a little more, but save thousands in grief! I learned to late. Contact me if you want particulars or research many horror stories about ordering through unkowns/unreliables. Good luck, I wish you the best!
