Chipper Jinma Chipper update

I looked in several chipper threads and couldn't find one with the update I just did. I was servicing my chipper today and found the pins ,that pull the clutch for the feed roller , had worn almost off. The problem was, that the linkage was riding on the pins and dragging them against the clutch. I cut the bolts / pins off square and after putting it back in I found a light spring and attached it to the arm. The spring keeps the arm away from the clutch.

Would it be possible to take a picture or two of what it is you are talking about. For those of us who are verbal description impaired it would be a big help.

I have already put it back together. I am doing some other projects on my tractor , so I'll try to get some pictures while I am there.

Ok , here is a picture of the spring installed to hold tension on the clutch so it won't eat the dogs.

I also put a picture of the new brush guard and knerf bars on the fenders to keep the brush off my paint.

Speaking of these chippers, I have now used mine for about 3 or 4 years. I ran it for days last fall and have been using it a lot this spring. The belts need tightened on the roller and blades should be turned, but otherwise, it has run like a champ. Dollar for dollar, this is one piece of equipment I have really gotten my money back out of.
