I need blades for a Jinma Chipper, anyone know where I can get them? also is there a set from another chipper with a little bit better quality that would fit? the originals seam to crack easily.

Thanks Bob

Why would chipper blades crack ? You can only put them in one way against a flat surface. My blades are 1/2" thick.

I have sold hundreds of the Jinma chippers, the only blades I have seen that broke or cracked were because

1- Something ran thru the chipper with metal on it(screws, bolts, ect)

2- The surface where the blades and bedding knife were not flat

Check yours when you replace, this is not a common problem

Exactly. Mine broke the anvil in normal use because the anvil bed had some extra material out near one end that didnt let the anvil sit flat. When broken, the anvil moved enuf to hit the cutters...UGLY. I dont believe I got my replacements from you, but the ones I got were 2 different thicknesses. Apparently these non matching parts are out there, so be on the lookout if you havnt seen it. Both will fit but you have to match thickness to get both knives to cut equally. I exchanged to get both replacements thicker, as were the originals.

Just be advised that chinese steel isn't the best quality in the world. You might be better off hitting a local jobbing machine shop and have them duplicated in a quality tool steel, if you want a long lasting chipper blade.

We offer service & parts for most all of the China made chippers.

Don't know when they are cracking/breaking ?? The knifes in the flywheel & the anvil MUST have a flat surface to lay in....... if not they can/will crack when you tighten the bolts. And the bolts have to be tight enough to stay tight. The metal in the blades & anvil are so hard they are brittle.

Again, don't know when yours crack ????...... but you do have a little red flag up.

Let us know if we can help you.

I think the stuff I was chipping had nails or the like in it? I found some metal parts in the chip pile, maybe an old tree fort or some thing?
