Does anyone have any ideas on why it won't spin? Was just doing a little finish mowing when the pto stopped spinning. No noise nothing? Seems as though the clutch is ok because if I try to engage the pto without the clutch it grinds and if I clutch it slides in gear but does'nt spin. Is there a shear pin back there or? Thanks

Sounds like to me that the shift lever on the rear of the tractor may have got knocked in neutral,did you check to make sure the handle 540/720 is in the 540 position ? I can't tell you how many people have trailered a tractor to us with this same problem,and when we put it in gear they could not believe they overlooked that.

Ha, I did the exact same thing when we first got Loretta's 284.
It has the PTO engagement shifter and a separate speed selector lever for either 540 or 720 PTO rpm. I engaged the PTO shifter but not the speed selector.
On my Kama, there is no PTO engagement lever, it only has the PTO speed selector lever and I was used to that.
