farm pro 2340
I'm new to tractors, but I found a farmpro 2340 with a loader, backhoe and low hours. The backhoe is still attached, but I was reviewing the manual and getting acquainted with it. I attempted to change the 3ph position control. It did not move at all. The tractor was idling at the time, PTO engaged, drive gear in neutral. Is there another switch/lever that I'm missing, or is there something preventing the 3ph lift from moving while the backhoe is attached. Thanks for any insight.

The control lever moves, but the lift arms do not. I looked at that other post, my position control doesn't look like that.

I tried rotating the nob out. The guy that had it said that he changed all the fluids, but the back fluid reservoir was milking in color. So I changed it again this morning. The lift still isn't moving.

I did get it on craigslist. The tire tread is like brand new, although you can see some small dryrot cracks from age. The backhoe and front loader hardly look used. Besides the lift arms, the only other thing broken was a hole in one of the dozen backhoe hoses.

that looked like a nice machine that was hardly used in pics, you beat me to it,good luck with it hope it does all you want
how many hyd pumps on it,there may be some type of valve that closes off 3ph,not to fimiliar with backhoes
there is a set screw or pin in that knob you will have to remove to turn it

if it is a 3ph type,it should have its own pump,it should also have lock bars, raise 3ph slightly remove bars and lower, they will look like old stablelizer bars

There is a pump that runs the frontend loader, one for power steering, the backhoe has it's own pump attaching to the pto, and I'm assuming that the 3ph has it's own pump as well. You weren't the guy that was en route with your trailer were you?

It doesn't have lock bars that I can see. I will check the bypass valve. I'm going to have to wait until tomorrow. Being mother's day, my wife would kill me.
