Ihave a jinma 224 that wont start when turn key switch on just make a click noise, charge battery lights, horn works ok, so I beleive battery is ok. Press clutch in switch goes in makes same click noise if clutch is press or not. I am thinking switch or starter is bad if someone have had this problem and could let me know where to start trouble shooting I will be grateful.

Thanks!

TRY to jump start it from your car or truck battery first. Just because the lights and horn work doesn't mean the battery is good. The starter takes a LOT more juice than the horn!

Something's wrong with the clutch interrupt switch, there should be NO click when the clutch pedal is not pushed in. But that's another problem. To sort your basic "click" issue,
1. disconnect both cables at the battery
2. clean both battery posts
3. follow negative cable to frame and unbolt
4. grind paint down to bare metal, reinstall
5. follow positive cable to starter
6. tighten nut
7. re-fasten both cables at the battery end
8. start engine

If those steps don't work, suspect the ignition switch. They've got a very high failure rate. As far as the clutch interlock switch goes, you can either replace it - or bypass it.

See if you can take a screwdriver and jump accross the starter,if it starts .I would bet it's the starter solenoid going bad,I have seen several of them do the same thing you are talking about.

And of course you want to make doubly sure that the tractor is in neutral as it being a diesel, just spinning it over can cause it to start and if in gear it can run over you before you know what has happened(people have been killed doing this very thing). That is where the clutch safety switch came from so please be carefull.
