The op manual for old Yanmars has u turn the engine while decompressed until the oil pressure dummy light goes out.(but ur only suppose to crank the starter 10 seconds at time then break for 2 mins.) It takes quite awhile 3 or 4 cycles. So assuming similar tech I would say u get oil pressure even when dcompressed. I did not read the whole thread. Someone else has already said what I did.
