Jinma 204 shifter problem

My partner was using the tractor today and went to shift from reverse to 1st and nothing. The shift lever just flops around. Any suggestions?

Well,,would look at parts manual and see how thats all connected,,and probably take cover off trans where shifter goes down in and take it from there,,,probably just a pin,,or something like that that broke or worked out,,,shouldn't be a big deal,,,but who knows till you look a little,,,thingy

Look at the shifter forks/rails/detents and see what came loose.. sometimes set screws holding forks work out..

Is that 204 shuttle equipped? or is Reverse on the regular gear shift lever?

It could be a broken shift lever or a broken shift fork,take the top off of the transmission and you should see the problem,we will have the parts in stock to repair it.Also if it is a broken shift fork,make sure you get the broken piece out of the transmission so that it cannot get in the gears.We are open on Sat until one if you need any help 979-865-4002

Greg, it's not a shuttle.
Looks like the shifter lever is in 2 pieces.
