Someone using my tractor broke one of the cyclinder ends and had it fixed. After installing the cylinder, now the FEL is jerky and won稚 lift anything real heavy and the fluid is foamy. Do I need to bleed this, if so how? FYI, I致e got a small leakage from another cylinder, which has been like this for a while and never had a FEL lift problem.
Any ideas. FYI, tried searching but I didn稚 see anything along this line.

I'd check hose connections first follow by hyd. level.

If the fluid is foamy, then there is air in the fluid. This is usually caused by a leak on the return/suction side of the system so you often will not see a drip or leak. If he ripped a cylinder apart-then chances are there is damage under the tractor, possibly to the filter or return line that runs from the sump to the pump. If you keep using your machine with the foamy fluid then you run the risk of damaging your pump due to cavitation.

Key search words here are "foamy" and "cavitation"
