I was planning on mounting my tool box on the JD990 as shown in the attached pictures. Drilling holes and adding mounting hardware to the sheet metal cover behind the seat. Anyone see a problem with doing this?

i dont see a problem right now.

Looks doable to me. Watch out for hyd lines or electrical wires when you drill. Don't drill the rops or their support brackets.. and you should be good to go.

Use rubber gromets and/or a little silicone if ya want to seal the bottom of the tool box where the bolts go thru.

Just an FYI - I bought this toolbox from Sears (Craftsman) for $9.00.....its called something like a Trucker toolbox - supposed to be left underneath or behind the seat in a pickup.
