JD955 won’t go in reverse/forward

So have a ‘96 JD955 4x4 hydro. It had a bit of creep so I tried to mess with the eccentric bolt and got it to stop about 98%. But not it’s like it’s not returning to neutral. If I go forward then want to go in reverse it’s like the reverse pedal is locked up then the forward is locked up. Only way to reset is apply the brake and parking brake lever then release. Any ideas? I’ve greased the crap out of everything under there lately. Thanks
