Can't get the Mid Mower lift arms to lower on my JD955. Lift arms are at top height. Have taken operator station panel off and messed with the height adjustment nut but no go. It does have a mid cylinder lift system which may be the problem. Anyone have this issue before? Is there a way to lock the mower lift arms? Just for grins I put loader on and hydraulics work for it fine which pointed me to the mid cylinder. Have also adjusted the rockshaft relief valve. Three point lift works fine too.

The mid lift cylinder works off of the same scv as the loader bucket ciircuit, so if the loader bucket works, the mower lift should as well. You say you "messed with" the height adjustment. Can you turn it easily? Turning the height adjustment counter clockwise will allow mower to lower further. You need to have mower lifted all the way to adjust it.

Height adjustment moves both ways easily and loader bucket works all ways using scv lever but mid mower lift arms won't budge at all. Mower is not on tractor because connection arms won't reach to mid mower lift arms.
