Unfortunately, you have to dump ALL the fluid to get at it. Since it sounds like you just put all new fluid in there (I forget... is that one 5 or 8 gallons?), you might want to try to clean the whole area and your pans real well, and see if you can manage to salvage most of it.

Filter it on the way back in, obviously.
