Hi
Thanks in advance for reading this.

I have a John Deere 410E Backhoe, and since a week it won't start.

When I turn the key to "on" the alarm beep and the oil pressure signal turn red.

i've looked the oil dipstick and everything look fine, Iv'e changed the oil filter about 50 operation hours ago.

When I unplug the oil pressure sending sensors and turn the key to "on" , the alarm stop and oil light return to normal, but the engine won稚 start either.

Should the motor start with the sensor disconnected? Might it only by a sensor problem? Or it could be something else?

Best regards

I see no CPU listed in 410E parts catalog so I think engine would start without sensors attached. Have you checked battery voltage? Have you cleaned tightened ALL battery cable connections?????

Hi, Thanks Jim,

I've charged the batteries and it's pretty new. I'll post a video on youtube tomorrow to let you ear the sound. But I ear the ticking and the motor turning. I'll look at the cables connection, but I check most of them recently when I got the starter cleaned.

At first I thought it could be the fuel pump, because the manual switch(it probably have another name) was sluggist. So i took it out and clean it up, now it's clean, the diesel flow easily when I press the manual switch.

I've tried with starting fluid but no luck.

What should I try next ?

Regards

JP

Video sound and fan slow rotation indicates low voltage or dragging starter by diagnoses of looking at my PC monitor

Thanks for the

I've tried with a battery booster, and still no luck. How can I test a dragging starter ? pulling it out and plugging it directly to 12v ?

Thanks,

JP

New information..

I've read that it might by the hydrolique pressure and by turning the steering wheel while starting it might help keeping the pressure low..

I tried, and the while steering moved more easily when cranking, it still does not start.

I also notice white smoke coming out of the exhaust while cranking.

Any new idea ?

Thank you JP.

Get an inductive amp meter that checks amp draw by laying against battery cable while starter is energized. Wiggling steering wheel on closed-center hyd's can help starting but I think the 410E has a different type hyd system called "load sensing"

Jim,

I bought an inductive amp meter :) and tried on the batterie cable and the cable on the starter. It draw between 120-130 amps. Does this gives you any idea ?

JP
