My local JD dealer just ordered my new 4010. Should be here in 3 weeks. He told me that I would have no problem using the 4ft Howse cutter with the 14hp PTO on the 4010. But, after reading some of these posts, I'm now wondering if I should move up to the 4110. What do you guys think ? THANKS !!

Brush hogging places a high demand on PTO hp to sustain the cutting...

If you have lots of brush hogging to do... buy the most PTO hp you can afford... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I would agree with John. I have the 4010 and I have never run out of power, but my PTO use is limited to running my 50 inch mechanical tiller to reclaim land and turn it into lawn.

If you can swing the extra $2K (that's what it was when I was looking), I would go with the 4110 if you planning on a lot of brush hogging.

Good Luck

Bob
