JD400 Backhoe valves

Hi all anyone have a rebuild write up on these. They are on a 1968 JD400 backhoe. Thanks.

What's the desire to rebuild valves? External oil leaks or some other problem??? JD 400 tech manual should contain info you desire.

Yes these are leaking.

Second thread now on your JD400.. As you continue with more questions/experiences with the 400, suggest you keep it under one thread if possible. Such as JD400 Backhoe so the members can keep things straight that may help you with your problems.
See that you are from southern Australia, and that does help to understand some of the terms you may use, that are a bit different than ours.
Add that to your profile, and we will look forward to getting to know you and your JD 400.. there are a variety of JD 400's from lawn to ag to industrial and including "vintage".
More pics will help too. Sounds like a fun project to get up and running good.

I agree JD built more than one model of 400's but down n dirty's photo showed his was an industrial model 400

Leaking at spool. From the top where joystick controls go in. Thanks.

I think a new thread for each problem is a better way to go. With a title that give an idea of the problem, rather than one long thread that jumps from one problem to the next.
