JD1050 4WD

I was wondering if there are still a lot of these 1050 4WD out there and how are they holding up?

Don't know what you mean be "a lot", but expect most of the production of 1050's would still be running. Only about 25 year old (plus/minus) tractor. After all, it is a Deere.

I had an 850 and sold it a year ago. A good basis tractor.

I had one for 12years it had some problems with front axle leaking, I also heard some of the parts for the front end were no longer available
I really loved that tractor and would like to have another

I have an '86 JD 1050 with FEL, with about 2200 hrs. When mowing I dropped the right front wheel into an unseen hole and messed up the needle bearings in the final drive. Ended up replacing all the bearings and seals on that side, and got the parts with no problem from the JD dealer. I have owned it two years now, and really like it and trust it. It is the right size and power for what I need, and very well made.

I found one of these on Craigslist the other day. 4wd no loader turf tires. 6700 hours, which is impressive and the guy was asking $7900. Apparently they can run a long time and hold their value very well!
