Hey Guys...Got a problem/ concern I was hoping some of you JD guys could help me with...

I have a 445 Zero Turn which I have had since May or so...

Problem is when I am cutting there is a 1-1.75 wide strip of grass right down the middle of my cut that is higher than my cutting height...I assume it must be where the two blades are missing the center cut line or something?? Just dont know...What I do know is that my 54 inch cut is really about 28 or so because I have to go right back down the center line with the left edge of the mower to make it even (only to find another high strip down that cut). I hope my explination makes sense...but I hope someone else has had the same problem and can offer some recommendations...At this point my opinion of the "finished look" of the 445 cut sucks! Any suggestions? Thanks!!

Here's all I could find on this

Solution Summary: Cut Quality Issues - Z445 EZtrak Mower

Complaint or Symptom :
Deck stripes (strip of uncut grass) on left side of deck.

Problem or Situation :
Likely just due to conditions, most all reports have all come from areas with new spring growth.

Solution :
Change level of deck - If was low in front, run deck from flat up to 1/4 high. If was flat, run down to 3/8 low in front.

Be sure engine is being operated at WOT. Some customers have been known to run engine slower as they get used to stick-type hydro controls. If already running at WOT, set to high side of spec (3450).

Use appropriate ground speed. These units travel nearly 8.5 mph, likely much to fast for most spring growth or faster growing (ie - irrigated) conditions.

For 54 decks - A few dealers have had success using Predetor blades B1PD1026, and a few with M115496 blades from earlier 54C deck.

Additional Information :
In most all situations, problem will lessen significantly or disappear as grass conditions change.

Could try inflating RH front caster wheel back to 20 lbs, this MAY take a small amount of weight off LH caster wheel. This has not been tested or verified.
