Hello,
I have a strange problem with my X595.
It starts cutting outafter about 15 minutes, first dropping one cylinder then two and then three.
When taking the load off and turn it to idle quick, it will keep running but only just.
Turning it off for just 5 seconds and it will run fine for another minute.
I've replaced the fuel filter, checked the lift pump flow, checked the tank vent and cleaned the air filter. All is good. It goes without saying that I've replaced the fuel.
I thought it could be electric making the stop solenoid to drop out but that's not it. It still fails with the stop solenoid removed.
To me it clearly looks like fuel starvation. Injector pump maybe?
Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Cheers,
Frits.

I would suspect there is debris in the tank that is cutting off your fuel supply. When you kill the engine, it can float away. Could be you are pulling air as well. Inspect fuel lines and connection points closely.

If you have a vented fuel cap it is possible the vent is plugged causing a partial vacuum in the tank. It is also possible you have algae or some such blockage inside the tank. Try disconnecting the fuel line at the first junction after the tank and seeing if fuel flows freely into a bucket, jar, or whatever. You should get a steady stream. If it peters out after a few seconds that's a place to start.

Thank you for the replies.
I did check the tank and I have free flowing diesel out of the tank.
I've now dropped off the mower at a local diesel outfit. I really hope they can fix it.

Well, what'd you know.
The mechanic rang me back with the results of his findings. There is nothing wrong with the motor. Pfff.
The problem was IN the tank. The sock in the tank was nearly completely blocked up.
The fact that I was still getting some diesel out of the tank had put me completely on the wrong foot when I was trying to do some fault finding.
Anyway, long story short, the sock got replaced (it was beyond cleaning) and all is fine now.
The mechanic took the mower home to top his own paddock just to make sure the mower was working as it should under full load. :)
He gave me a substantial discount because to that!!!

Nice honest guy!
Heck some would have added labor for testing time.
A 'keeper' for sure.
