Gentlemen,
I'm curious if anyone here has any experience using a tiller with a GT235? I've recently seen ebay offers to sell the JD 30" mechanical tiller attachment, and wonder how this setup works in compact ground.
Thanks!
Rob

I used a 30" mechanical tiller on my JD345. I paid $500 used in very good condition and sold it for about the same a year later. It worked ok but you will need to add weight especially when turning undisturbed soil. I found it would lift the back of the tractor and push you right along. Steping on the emergency brake didn't help /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

You would think they would want the tiller to spin the other way and cut into the ground,, but they don't.
I found the need to keep the throttle open fully, then carefully engage the tiller,, ortherwise, like you said,, you'll be pushing ahead and wonder why the brakes don't work! Hang ON!!
(till u remember to kill the PTO)
