JD STX46 Won\'t Start

I have a JD STX46 with a Kohler 14 hp motor. Because it's been so dry, I haven't needed to mow in about 4 weeks. The mower ran fine when I parked it but when I tried to fire it up last night it would not start.

I drained the tank and put in fresh fuel, checked the fuel line and have gas to the carb, gas in the bowl and vacuum. If I pour gas in the throat it will run until the gas is gone so I know I have spark.

Any ideas?

In these situations I like to replace the fuel filter. You may have a bit of debris in the filter. Also check battery voltage to make sure engine is spinning fast enough to start. If air filter is clean, then you have checked all the simple stuff. From there you will need to rebuild the carb.
On my stx46, the engine is never an issue, it's always the bagger belt and elec. system that's a problem.
