JD L130: Is it the seat swithch?

The mower has 224 hours. The clutch for the mower deck has been replaced. After shutting it off it would not start. I tested the batter, 12+ volts. Current seemed to be flowing to the starter. Finally, after wiggling the seat safety switch the mower started.
Today the same problem. It ran fine until I shut it off and then tried to start it again. I figured it was the seat switch again and tried to make a jumper. It ran for 2 seconds then stopped.
Is it safe to guess the problem is the seat safety switch? Do any auto parts places sell a switch that will work in its place?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

It is an $8 switch from Deere, and part # GY20073

If you made a jumper and jumped out the seat switch and it only ran for 2 seconds then the seat switch isn't the problem.

The seat switch was not the problem. It still does the same thing, only turns a quarter of a turn when attempting to start. Could it be the starter? What else should I check?

In your first post you said it ran for 2 seconds then shut off. Now you say it only turns 1/4 of a turn when attempting to start. If it only turns 1/4 turn have you tried jump starting it with jumper cables. Sounds like it could be a battery problem. If it starts by jump starting, check the battery voltage while running. It should be at least 13V or higher. If not it's not charging.
