JD Hydro 175 - no spark (new coil, still no spark)

The majority of the 420s had an igniter which failed. You can buy the 80$ Deere one or a knock off, they seem to work. AM132770

tomplum is right on the money. I keep a few of the aftermarket ones around, and that virtually fixes all of them that use that type of igniter. The hardest part of the fix, is hanging on to that darned little screw that holds it on to the shroud.

It WAS that little igniter!!!! Put new one in and she ran immediately. Thanks TomPlum/ALL!!!!
