JD Europe replied on XUV availability

Received this from a high ranking company official.

"John Deere will hopefully be launching the XUV 850D Gator in Europe.
However, before this can happen the machine needs to be CE certified and
homologated. This usually means that the machine requires significant
changes from the US version, typically to safety guarding and braking
systems.

The machine is currently in the modification and testing/certification
process.

Because of this, machines are typically launched 1 year later in Europe
than the US, which would be a summer 08 launch for the XUV Gator."

So I'm screwed until Summer '08 if I want an XUV.
I'll have to look at other options to get one,
or an alternative.

Contact Mutton euipment. They are a Deere dealer and they advertise on TBN. They have good prices (so does my local dealer) and they ship around the country and I know one guy on here that bought from them, and he lives in Canada. JC

I am seriously looking into exporting one from the USA, either a fully loaded XUV 850D, or even an RTV 1100. The €uro Dollar exchange rate is for once very much in my favour. However, I have to look into shipping companies and what taxes are payable in this country at point of import, which could be as high as 21%.
