Does anyone out there know if JD is going to put out
a small TLB to compete with the Kubota BX series TLB(s) ??
I love the size and functionality of the BX23, but I am JD
man and am hoping in a couple of years they will finally
either come out with a newer 2210 that has the frame
on the tractor for the backhoe, or some new model.
Personally, the idea of using a backhoe with a subframe
is not appealing to me, as I would like to be able to remove
it quickly, easily and not have to store the frame.
Any input would be appreciated. Thanks, G /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I agree. I would love to find a 5-6' BH that would go on my 4100 for small digging projects.

The idea of having to take the mower on and off every time I want to use the backhoe for some little project kind of takes the fun out of owning it.

I don't think that JD understands the cool factor of being able to disconnect the BH at the back of the tractor without having to mess with anything else like the MMM or the 3-pt arms.

The closest thing I have found so far is a 3-pt mount BH. It may not be as sturdy of a mount, but at least it is convenient to put on and off.

<font color="green">Last year John Deere received an outstanding innovations award from the ASAE for the 2210. If you look at the award page http://www.asae.org/resource/ae5003/2210.html you will see the 2210 referred to as a tractor loader backhoe.

Makes me wonder if this is the source for the rumors that surface from time to time regarding a backhoe for the 2210????

It's a teaser that's for sure if not an error in the text.

Since the 46BH is for the 4100-4110 does anyone have experience with it directly? If I remember from what I read, it wasnt that difficult to put on or remove....

I saw pictures of it removed and it is very bulky.........I can't speak to the ease
of removal, but the size of the thing with the frame attached is larger than
I want.

I have the 46 on my 4115 and it works great. I have already removed a bunch of stumps and dug a couple hundred feet of trenches. I haven't had the hoe off the tractor yet so I can't speak to how easy (or hard) that is. I do not use my tractor to mow with so removal isn't an issue for me. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
