JD 990 ROPS Height - need measurement

Still looking at the JD990, but I cannot find a spec listing the exact height of the ROPS. At issue is whether this will fit through a normal 7' tall garage door since the ROPs does not fold.

it will not fit unless you have turfs

If it'll help, I could measure my 790.
It's got a BH, so the ROP has the extensions to boot.

So if it cannot fit then my possible choices (if I do get the 990) are (?):

> Get turf tires - not likely
> modify the ROPS so it can fold - limited ability / safety issues
> build a bigger garage - yeh, right
> look for a different tractor - ouch, just when I had my mind made up!

Have you contacted your dealer to get the actual height and to see if a folding ROPS is available as an option?

It'll be tight, JD just told me 84.2" w/ its tallest tires.

Foldable ROP is NOT an option on the 990.

Ever think about have the door converted from 7' to 8'? Is that an option?

New header and new door. Maybe new lift if it will not lift bigger door. Extension rails. New gasket.

Sorry everyone BUT I HAVE THE BEST WIFE IN THE WORLD!

When I told my wife the tractor would not fit in the garage - she said to just build a barn out on the property! Either she is really afraid of another 6 months of looking at tractors ...or sainthood is around the corner!
