JD 955 cut

Just picked up a new to me 955 and was wondering where to find an owners manual. I dont know where the 4wd/mfwd selector is located. Is there a range selector too? There is a red knob just below the loader handle (above blue rag) that seems to pick hi/lo range. Red lever beside seat? Also a crank wheel that seems to do nothing unless its a height adjuster for a mmm?

It was sitting in a barn for quite awhile, fresh fuel and filter plus new battery, fired right off. Needs a bath

It may give you some hints if some of the labels or levers are exposed.

John Deere has 2 owners manual downloads depending on your serial number.

Search for Equipment Publications - Technical Information Store

techpubs.deere.com

Enter 955 and search. There are several different choices but you should be able to figure it out.

Ebay is a good source of parts for those tractors. somewhere there is a cross reference to what parts fit what model yanmars .

Thanks all, after a bath and some google foo, I now know that I have a full service manual (no owners yet) and what knob does what.
