JD 955 Compact replace hydraulic pump

While using my JD 955 Compact to bush hog today I lost all power - steering, transmission, bucket, PTO. Assume it is a faulty hydraulic pump. Tractor is a 1995 with just over 800 hours - maybe...bought it less than 6 months ago and it has run fine until now. Fluid is topped off and checked every week. Any thoughts on how to replace the pump unit and how much will it cost. Never owned a tractor but have pulled engines from my other vehicles...have tools and time.

Just replaced the pump on my Kubota. Purchased the pump off ebay for $245. It's not oem but it is new and working fine.

Seems to be going around. Check for damaged hoses, lines, and filters for a suction leak before you start replacing expensive stuff. Fact you were bush hogging makes me think you kicked something up.

Your tractor's implement pump hangs off the back of the tractor. You
could hit it or the rubber intake hose with flying cutter debris.

However, you said the HST does not work either. That implies that you
lost a lot of fluid (or something else) since the implement pump is
independent of the HST.

It could also be an electric interlock wire shutting things down.

Assuming you have power beyond loop in the back, make sure your power beyond hose is well connected. I would disconnect and reconnect it just to be sure.
