JD 950 starter issue

I had the starter to my JD 950 rebuilt recently due to it sticking. Before I had it rebuilt, I got a puff of electrical smoke up from the fuel tank area when I turned on the ignition. I've have a new battery, rebuilt starter, and it still won't start (unless I use a long screw driver). There's power to the ignition, as the headlights and dash lights turn on/illuminate. I've also replaced the flasher relay, and some other relay ( Denso 12v 22a relay). When I try to start the tractor, I hear and feel a clicking in the new Denso relay. All of the fuses are good. Is there anything else between the starter and the ignition that I'm missing?

I went through with a multimeter and found my issue. I need a new voltage regulator and a temperature sending unit. Thanks again!
