I have a 1968 JD 820. Was bushhogging on a slight grade and pushed in the clutch pedal but the tractor continued to move forward in gear and the clutch did not disengage. Drove tractor to the barn and worked the pedal a few times but the problem remains. The clutch had worked fine and showed no indication of slipping, etc. This clutch was replaced about 2 years ago when I had the entire tractor overhauled. Any ideas on what the problem is? Looking for suggestions before I split the tractor apart.

Welcome to TBN
Sounds like a linkage came disconnected.

Check linkage possibly one of the clutch PP bolts broke. Look in inspection hole in clutch housing.

I would start with the linkage. If it's like my 2030, a rod from the pedal to a lever. I was checking the free play in mine when I spotted a cotter pin missing from the lower linkage cross pin. I could have easily lost that pin, then the linkage would not have been connected.
