JD 7810 Fuel Shutoff Solenoid

Any of you guys replace this thing before? I was looking at it last night and I can't see any way to uncouple the solenoid linkage from the pump arm without removing the pump? Surely that can't be the case right?

I can get the carriage bolts unbolted just fine but that linkage is behind the pump right against the block.

Denso pump it looks like as well.

Your going to have to remove the filter in order to access the back side of the inj. pump & remove the clip off the sh-off lever.
The rod just pulls off.

I just did one on a 7810 with Motorpal pump. I had to unhook high pressure lines and unbolt the pump to cock the pump enough to get clearance to unhook it.

That Motorpal pump is a joke.. Its Deutz's answer to the A pump.. talk about "TRYING" to reinvent the wheel.. What a piece of junk..
