JD '74 301AD Manual....where to get one??

JD \'74 301AD Manual....where to get one??

Stuck here at work and a guy in the shop just picked up a 74 301 (got me a Newholland TC30 /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif) and needs a manual. Alaska is not a good place to find these. Any ideas?

Any Industrial John Deere dealer should be able to order one for you. You might also do a search on ebay for one. An agricultural 1020 model is very similar if you can find a manual for that.

Call 1(800)522-7448 and tell them the manual you want. This is directly from Deere. I just bought the Tech Manual this past spring from them. It is 490 pages long and also includes an operators manual section. The cost with shipping for the manual on CD was about $80 I think, but a printed version was approx $130. I just print out the sections I need when I am working on something. I don't feel as bad about getting grease all over the pages when I know I can print another copy anytime I need one. I have also seen the original manuals sell cheap on ebay from time to time.
