found 1997 jd 670 2wd with 650 hours and worn out 60 inch land pride finish mower that needs couple hundred dollars work which exceeds its worth in my mind, this is bank repo looks very clean top to bottom they are asking $5500, not a JD person was wondering if fair price still gonna try and talk them down some due to mower. Thanks

IMO, that too small and too light to do much work, less than 20 hp I think. I would keep looking or consider putting $5000 down on a new tractor with 0% financing.

already have big tractor this ones job is just to let the wife mow some, would luv larger just looking to buy outright. Thanks

In that case I would look at a 300 series ridiing mower, easier to operate in close quarters, probably will out cut the 670 since it is less cumbersome.

Price is high.

I bought my 770 (24 hp, 21 pto) for $5K. 4wd, loader, cab (home-made), low hours, faded paint, back blade, tow hitch and draw bar.
