JD-59 snowblower hydraulic cylinder

The hydraulic cylinder for the chute rotator on my JD59 snowblower is leaking. I'm choking on the $351 that John Deere wants for a new one. I'm sure there's a similar ( and cheaper) cylinder available with a little research. Has anyone replaced this cylinder with a similar item? I' be interested to know the make and model you selected. I don't mind making minor modifications to the mounting brackets.
The stock hydraulic cylinder is JD part number AM126765.

Why not just give us the open and closed length, bore size, rod size, stroke size, and end mount description.

You are not locked in to JD are you?
