JD 5303 lift arms will not lower

My lift arms on my JD5303 will not lower. I have them loaded with a steel table (300 -400 lbs) on my boom pole. lifted the table all the way up but it will not lower it down. All other hydraulics seem to be fine, transmission and power steering.here has been no indication of lift problems up to this point.

Welcome, Do you have a valve down buy your feet that controls the amount of drop of the 3 point?

There should be a descent control knob under the seat.

Turn in to lock for transport, or turn counterclockwisr to slowly descend or turn more counterclockwise for fast descend.

The problem maybe in the rate of drop valve under the seat. Make sure you get the 3PT and attachment on the ground or brace it up! It will come down when that valve is removed.

Thanks for information on bracing up. I have tried to turn the knob counterclockwise- No action. I will try to remove the rateof drop valve as soon as i get a chance and will report back what I find out. Thanks
